A loooong week… (Jan. 2015)

I snapped this picture for Mandy before Kevin left, and hung it up by her bed. She kissed it goodnight before bed every night…

 

It’s hard to get out of the house in snowy conditions, with two littles, but we were going crazy in the house all week alone. So we braved the cold and headed to the grocery store. What fun… Mandy convinced me she was big enough to push one of the kiddie carts…I had a bad feeling it wouldn’t end well, but she did surprisingly well! And nobody was run over! She was so proud of herself!

 

The highlight of each day was when Kevin was finally out of class or training, and we got to Skype with him.

 

 

And trying to sneak a shower without someone to wrangle the kids? Pretty much impossible…my shower ended like this every time:

 

But it was only (only? Hahaha!) a week, and the kids were so excited when Daddy was finally home!

 

On the road again… (Jan. 2015)

Once Kevin was back in Ohio, we had to drive home the next day…so he could turn around the day after that, and head straight to another week long school in Michigan! Poor guy. 6 hours in the car is a lot for a 2 year old and a 10 month old…it gets a little crazy in the backseat!

Ouch! Jan. 2015

Packing up to head home, I hear Mandy running down the hallway at full speed… She didn’t slow down at all as she ran into the bedroom, and face planted right into the wall!! I couldn’t believe my eyes! I also couldn’t believe she hadn’t knocked her teeth out, because she left quite the toot dent in the wall! She must have extraordinarily strong teeth?!

Ohio, Jan 2015

We brought the beginnings of a cold with us…that turned into a terrible, awful cold. And we passed it on to everybody. So there aren’t a whole lot of pictures from this trip.  We did have fun though, even if the kids were grouchy and sleepy from being sick most of the time. We even managed to catch one of my brother’s basketball games before Kevin had to fly out to VA for his school.

The loud buzzer scared the kids half to death the first time it went off,  but they got used to it pretty fast…

 

The kiddos had fun building blocks, and making water prisms with Auntie Sarah…and tricking Grammy into playing on the floor for ages!

 

 

We even got to kick back with my boys and watch a Broncos game!

 

Only at Grammy’s house do you get gingerbread men at bedtime…

 

 

 

Ohio, here we come! (Jan 2015)

In January, Kevin had two different week long schools to go to, back to back. So we planned to have him drop us off for a visit with my family on his way to Virginia! Mandy was beyond excited, but apparently Josh wanted to stay home…he was unpacking faster than I could pack!!

It’s certainly not always hugs and smiles around here, but she sure loves “my man”!!

Laundry Fight! Jan 2015

After watching this (rather one sided) laundry fight, I imaging there are a lot of pillow fights in our future! They were laughing so hard, I wish I could figure out how to post videos on here.

9 months old!! 1/3/15

At 9 months old, this big boy is crawling, standing, cruising along furniture, and getting into everything!!

Sledding fun! Jan 2015

January decided to make up for a mild December… So we made the most of it, and headed out for some sledding!

Josh enjoyed his first sledding outing, but I was afraid his baby skin would get too cold, and we headed to the warm car after a little while.
